ETimes gives ‘Dhoomakethu’ 2.5 stars

ETimes rated ‘Dhoomakethu’ 2.5 out of 5 stars. The review noted Sajin Gopu’s energetic performance and the film’s attempts to keep its repeating situations entertaining. The review reads, “Sajin Gopu is his usual energetic self, giving the right comedic feel, even in tense situations. More importantly, while the time loop could get monotonous, Suddhi and Sajin infuse it with comedy and novelty on each occasion. Nikhila Vimal doesn’t have much to do, except look coy. Ganapati comes as a real surprise, transforming himself perfectly into a small-town youth and Kuttan’s pal, Anti. The film has some notable touches, such as when an uncle says it’s okay to be gay and when the neighbour tells Kuttan and Anti that Sharmila has a past, but Anti tells his friend to not give it much importance and that it’s just stories jealous people make up about any pretty girl.”
