Tiger Shroff escapes unharmed as driver suffers gunshot injury

According to Mumbai Police, three to four rounds were fired at Tiger’s car as he was leaving a ground after football practice. A large crowd had gathered to see the actor, and police said shots were fired at his vehicle from within the crowd.Tiger was not hit by any bullets. His driver, identified in police updates as Firdosh, sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm and was taken to Nanavati Hospital for treatment. Another person, identified as Mr Chauhan in an earlier police statement, was also injured and was undergoing treatment. An autorickshaw driver was among those reported to have been hurt in the incident.Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg said police teams had been deployed and a forensic team had examined the scene to collect evidence. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station, and further investigation is underway. The firing triggered panic in the area, with people reportedly running for cover after hearing the gunshots. Police cordoned off the scene as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Unverified gang claim surfaces after shooting

After the incident, a video circulated on social media in which a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit and claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the firing. The man allegedly described the attack as a warning to Tiger to stop working with Salman Khan. However, police had not officially confirmed the gang’s involvement in the shooting in the information available at the time of reporting. The claim circulating online remains unverified. The allegation has drawn attention because of the reported hostility between members of the Bishnoi gang and Salman Khan, linked to the actor’s alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community reveres the blackbuck. The gang has also been linked by investigators to previous attacks involving people associated with Khan. The 2024 killing of former Maharashtra legislator Baba Siddique in Bandra East, which was claimed by the Bishnoi gang, had further raised concerns about organised crime and threats connected to the film industry. For now, the motive behind the firing at Tiger Shroff’s car and the identity of those responsible remain subjects of the police investigation.
