A lucky six-year-old boy from Madhya Pradesh has won a Toyota Fortuner worth around Rs 50 lakh in a lucky draw after his grandmother bought a coupon for just Rs 200 at a Garba event. And while most of us have tucked a raffle ticket at some point, be it a festival, a school fair, a temple event, with hope but lesser expectations, we pay, misplace the slip, and usually even forget about it.But then some stories like this come up and reignite that zeal in us to be playful once again.

How a ₹200 Garba coupon made a 6-year-old the owner of a Toyota Fortuner

A six-year-old boy from Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh has won a Toyota Fortuner through a lucky draw coupon that cost just ₹200. According to NDTV, the boy named Medansh Raikwar, won first prize in a draw organised at Shri Sarkar Dham in Abhapuri with the SUV valued at around ₹50 lakh. The coupon was bought almost a year before the result when Medansh’s grandmother, Kiran Raikwar, attended a Garba event at Abhapuri Dham and bought the ₹200 coupon there and wrote her grandson’s name on it. She had no idea that such a small amount would one day bring her family such a big surprise.

The family had been planning to buy a car for a long time

The win also arrived at a good time as the family had been hoping to buy a car for two years. So when Medansh’s name was announced as the winner in 2026, they were overjoyed.

Celebrations with dhol, taash and nagadas followed soon after

As seen in several videos surfacing online, the six-year-old received a grand welcome with drums and festivities, and relatives and locals gathered to congratulate him. The report adds that the family also performed a puja and offered prayers to seek blessings after receiving the vehicle.
