You give a command to your mobile by speaking, and it understands what you are saying.
These are some simple examples of AI or technologies related to AI.
Where Did the History of AI Begin?
AI is not a concept that has emerged only recently.
For several decades, scientists have been thinking about whether machines could be given the ability to think like humans.
In 1950, British mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing did important work on the idea of testing whether a machine is intelligent or not. Later, in 1956, the term Artificial Intelligence became formally associated with a research conference held at Dartmouth College in the United States.
After that, research in the field of AI continued for many decades.
In the early days, attempts were made to solve specific problems by giving computers specific rules and instructions.
Later, as computer capabilities increased, large amounts of data became available, and technologies such as Machine Learning developed.
Because of this, instead of having to tell a machine everything separately, it gradually developed the ability to learn from data by identifying patterns.
After that, technologies such as Deep Learning, Neural Networks and Generative AI brought a major revolution in AI.
Today, we can use AI for many tasks such as writing text, creating images, generating voices, translating languages, writing code and analyzing information.

The content you see on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms is not completely random.
Recommendation Systems work to show content according to your interests and usage patterns.

If you view a mobile phone, clothes or other products on a website, similar products may be recommended to you again.
Data and AI-related Recommendation Technology also work behind this.
What Is Generative AI?
Currently, the biggest discussion in the world of AI is about Generative AI.
Generative AI is an AI that can create new text, images, audio, code or other types of content based on available information and the patterns it has learned.
For example, you can tell AI
“Write a 500-word article about AI in Marathi for me.”
AI can create an article for you.
You can say
“Create an image of an anchor reading the news in a news studio.”
AI can create an image according to that instruction.
You can also take AI’s help to convert text from one language into another language.
Because of this, AI has become a useful tool for everyone from students to teachers, journalists, professionals, business owners and Content Creators.
Will AI Replace Humans?
This is the biggest question.
The straightforward answer is major changes will certainly take place in some jobs because of AI.
In jobs that involve repetitive processes, large amounts of data or repetitive tasks, the use of AI and Automation may increase.
But this does not mean that the need for humans in every field will disappear.
Things such as human experience, emotions, creativity, leadership, ethical decisions, understanding real-life situations and communication with people are still extremely important.
Therefore, the major question of the future may not be “Will AI replace humans?”
Instead, it will be
“How effectively can humans work with AI?”

Just as using the internet and smartphones has become a common skill today, knowledge of using AI may also become important in many fields in the future.

But Be Careful While Using AI!
No matter how advanced AI becomes, not every piece of information provided by it will necessarily be 100% correct.
Sometimes AI may provide incorrect, incomplete or misleading information.
Therefore, before using important information, Fact-checking and verification through reliable sources are extremely necessary.
Especially in sensitive areas such as healthcare, law, financial transactions, government rules and other important matters, one should not blindly trust information received from AI.

AI is not a technology that has come to eliminate humans.
It is a powerful tool that can be used to increase human capabilities.
Just as calculators made mathematical calculations easier, computers increased the speed of office work, and the internet changed the way we access information, AI is changing the way work is done in many fields.
Therefore, instead of looking at AI only with fear, it is more important to understand it and learn how to use it properly.
Because in the future, the difference between a person who knows AI and a person who does not know AI will not only be about technology it will be about the ability to work.
