Forget lehengas, Tamannaah Bhatia’s Indo-Western Diwali look is stealing the show

The absolute anchor of this entire look was a sweeping, floor-length statement jacket engineered by Mayyur Girotra. Built over a clean, head-to-toe black canvas, the open jacket was allowed to do every single bit of the heavy lifting.

Tamannaah tucked a form-fitting black bodysuit into a matching, fluid draped skirt, creating an ultra-sleek silhouette beneath. That minimalist base provided the perfect launchpad for the jacket’s over-the-top drama. Its rich, antique gold-toned backdrop was packed with dense embroidery, vibrant threadwork, and intricate beadwork.

Striking geometric grids were stitched across the fabric, while traditional, vintage-inspired motifs running along the lapels and hem gave it a distinctly royal, old-world aesthetic. Shots of bright magenta, royal blue, emerald green, and deep burgundy popped against the warm gold, giving the garment immense personality.

When you’re wearing a piece that loud and intricately crafted, you don’t need to surround it with clutter. And Tamannaah clearly understood the assignment.
