A small travel incident in Italy has sparked a wider conversation online after an Indian traveller shared her experience with railway staff. What stood out to her was not simply missing a train, but what happened when she went to the railway office afterwards. Her reaction soon turned the incident into a comparison with train travel in India. The comments that followed were divided, with some viewers supporting her point and others sharing a different view of travelling by rail in Italy.

Train timing changed before her journey

Garima Chauhan shared the incident on Instagram while travelling in Naples. She said she had booked a high-speed train to Florence. The service was initially scheduled for 8:30 am but was later moved to 8:20 am. Chauhan said the railway company sent an email about the change, although the revised timing did not appear on the app.As a result, she said they followed the original schedule and reached the station after the train had already departed. They missed it by just one minute.

Railway staff offered another option

Chauhan said they went to the railway office after missing the service. She expected that changing the booking could involve another payment. Instead, she said the staff informed them about the email and offered to shift their booking to a later train.Their ticket was moved to an 11 am service without an additional charge.

Her reaction mentioned Indian trains

The experience prompted Chauhan to compare it with train travel in India.“Ab aap hi batao, kya yeh India mein hota? Please tell me. India mein aisa karte ki bhaga dete, chalo. Nahi bhejte. India mein email nahi bhejte. India mein train pehle bhi nahi aati. India mein late aati hai ya phir kabhi-kabhi cancel hi ho jaati hai,” she said. The comparison became the focus of the discussion under her video.

Viewers have different opinions

Some users questioned the comparison and pointed to their own understanding of train travel in Italy. One person wrote, “Let’s step out of India for 10-15 days and criticise India. You will forget all this.”Another commented, “Sister, you have not faced train delays in Italy. You will forget all this.”Others focused on ticket changes in India. One user wrote, “Free mein kya, paise leke bhi change nahi karte, minnatein karni padti hain.”Another added a humorous take: “India mein chaar baar chilla-chilla ke bolte taaki tumse miss na ho.”One more person simply commented, “Kabhi nahi hota India mein.”Disclaimer: This article is based on a social media post and the claims made by the user in the video.
