Netizens mock ‘Adipurush’s ships-in-the-ocean scene
One social media user posted a clip showing Lord Hanuman flying overhead while ships sailed below in the ocean, captioning it, “Adipurush movie is so unserious that there are actually ships in the ocean when Hanuman ji is flying to Lanka.” Another user questioned, “How did Om Raut not get beaten up for this?” A third remarked, “Adipurush is a senseless movie made by senseless people.”
‘Ramayana’ costumes spark comparisons to ‘Adipurush’
Several tweets also drew attention to Kriti Sanon’s costume choices, especially given the criticism Lara Dutta and Sai Pallavi faced over their own outfits. One user pointed out, “Internet when Kriti Sanon played Sita in Adipurush in a revealing saree: ‘How dare you show Sita like this?!’ Internet when Sai Pallavi and Lara Dutta played Sita in fully covered, modest sarees: ‘Clothes weren’t even like that in those times!’ Classic double standards on Sita’s attire across different Ramayana adaptations.”

Some users went as far as comparing certain visuals to Avengers and Harry Potter. One wrote, “Avengers copied Adipurush so hard, but they got caught because the music is in sync. Is this movie the biggest shame for Indian cinema?” Another commented, “We don’t talk much about how Om Raut’s #Adipurush made Ramji fight Dementors from Harry Potter, which were being summoned by a Meesho Skeletor from He-Man.”
